A closer game than the score would suggest

Briton Ferry welcomed Bryncethin to Ynysymaerdy Road for this league fixture. We were expecting a strong challenge from a team who were very unfortunate last season not to get promoted. The visitors took an early lead with a try and conversion, catching the Ferry cold almost from the kick off. Fortunately the home team settled into their game and thwarted any further scoring chances from the visitors, and adding two penalty kicks to bring a well balanced first half to a close, Briton Ferry 6 Bryncethin 7. The second half resumed in similar vain to the start of this game, and very quickly B.....
