A game of missed opportunities

With home advantage the Ferry were looking to get their season up and running against Aberavon Green Stars RFC, with a home win, but sadly the Stars had ambitions of their own and it wasn't long into the game before the Ferry found themselves 7 points down. The game began to follow a similar pattern as the previous week, where we gave away possession and once again we were punished for it. The Stars to their credit played some excellent running rugby and took full advantage of our lose play to extend their lead. There were a number of scoring chances that we failed to convert into points and the visitors took full advantage in extending their lead. At half time the visitors lead 25 - 0.

The second half proved to be more evenly contested with the Ferry rewarded with a try from Marcus Boobier, but once again we failed to turn possession into points, despite a penalty try at the end of the game the visitors grabbed the spoils with the final score Briton Ferry 12 - Aberavon Green Stars 36
